So many new technologies out there. This old man is having a hard time getting to even hear about them. Am I alone in this feeling of being out of touch?

I'm sure as a verteran you know that technology changes, but the basics stay the same. A good I&C Tech, knows that there is always the manual :D

A manual, what's a manual for? We don't need a stinking manual:)

I know how you feel. I'll get a trade magazine and get totally overwhelmed by the new stuff hitting the market. All you can do is the best you can.

Yes, the technology is changing very quickly these days. Has anyone thought about sharing their experience or posting links to manufacturer info?

I recently worked at Turkey Point in Florida and ran across a CD with detailed information about Foxboro AI in web page format. OK, so I copied it to my laptop. Admittedly, this system is considered obsolete but a lot of places still use it.

And of course, one sees manuals in the tech libraries of the different plants one visits.

How about an area on this site dedicated to making that info available? Many instrumetation manufacturers make their manuals available online as PDF documents.

It might only be a list of links due to copyright concerns, but hey, it would be a place to start...
