Does anyone know what type of benefits you could get from this organization if you become a member?

Some plants will look more favorably at you if you have ISA's certs (in house positions), but I lost alot of respect for it when back in the 90's people were grandfathered into level III and above just by having there supervisor sign a piece of paper.
I dont have it, and it hasnt hurt me. That being said, it doesnt hurt to have it or any other cert for that matter.
I would say to you mach, if you can get it, do it
I was actually looking at a Membership not the Certification. It does seem like an organization designed more towards sucking up your money. It's $85 a year to be a member. You get access to different articles and some discounts on books or other training material.
I already pay $50 a year to have my electrical masters license up to date that is enough for me. I already let me A+, and Net+ expire.

Membership offers perks more geared to vendors and sales people. Kind of a networking opportunity. The shrimp boils are usually nice:D.
I got certified back in '99 and '00 (level II). You don't have to be a member to get certified. It holds some weight when looking for jobs.

I am planning to start studying for the level III sometime in the near future. Looking for a level III study guide. Anyone know where I can get one?
Membership entitles one to free downloads of the ISA specs. If you're a designer, that might be important. Otherwise, the opportunity to attend regional meetings is about all that membership offers.
