Immediate long term Contract Position available in Birmingham, AL.
Educational Preferences: BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Nuclear Engineering
Years of Work Experience: 5 (minimum)
Job Experience
The position requires at least 5 years experience working with Instrumentation Equipment and Systems. 3 years or more experience in BWR nuclear power design, construction, and/or design configuration.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Ability to prepare engineering documentation is required. Ability to perform site walk downs at a nuclear power plant is required. Basic knowledge of I&C standards and NRC requirements is required. Basic knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred. Nuclear plant system engineering experience a plus.
Technical Requirements
Understanding of nuclear plant process and systems
Understand of mechanical, electrical, and control processes
Must be able to read design documents and calculations
Other Requirements
Some travel to nuclear plant site may occasionally be required to perform services and/or interface with the plant clients. The ability to be badged for access to the Nuclear Power Plant is required.
